Getting to the Room (108)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • Exit reception via the main entrance doors and proceed up the steep ramp on the right into the "G block" accommodation block.
    At the top of the ramp, turn left and proceed through the open doorway. Veer right and continue through the fire doors and into the room corridor.
    The door to room number 108 is on the left.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a steep ramp/slope, automatic doors, an open entrance with no doors and manual doors.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are under 120cm.
  • The flooring on the route is not shiny or patterned.

Room (108 - Two Bedroom Apartment)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • The layout and facilities in the other rooms with adaptations for disabled people vary from the one surveyed. .
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 80cm wide.
  • The bed type is double and twin.
  • The top of the mattress is 56cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 25cm high.
  • Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The space around the bedroom and wardrobe is restricted.
    The width of the sliding door into the double bedroom is 82cm. The width of the terrace door is 98cm.
    There are also 4 one-bedroomed apartments available in the same building, which have adaptations for disabled people.

Ensuite (108 - Right Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 84cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 74cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a soap dispenser.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a horizontal grab rail at the shower, a vertical grab rail at the shower and a diagonal grab rail at the shower.
  • There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
