Getting to the Room (309)

  • The average walking time to the room is 7 minutes.
  • Leave the reception lobby via the double automatic doors opposite the reception desk and turn right towards the main building.
    Enter through the automatic sliding doors and take the lift to the third floor.
    Turn right on exiting the lift and proceed along the corridor to Room 309.
  • The most accessible route to the room has a steep ramp/slope, automatic doors and a standard lift.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • The width of the lift door opening is 80cm.
  • The internal dimensions for the lift are 120cm x 140cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
  • There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
  • The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.
  • There is a short steep ramp at the entrance to the main building. The ramp is more than 150cm wide and has no handrails.

Room (309)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 85cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 5cm high.
  • Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
  • The room does not have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.

Ensuite (309)

  • The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 85cm.
  • There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as the shower obstructs it.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
  • There is a dropdown rail for the toilet.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower, a horizontal grab rail for the toilet and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
