Access Guide
Getting to the Room (125)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the lobby take the lift to the first floor.
After exiting the lift turn right, then up a slight ramp to double fire doors. Once through the doors, room number 125 is on the left hand side.
The double doors are 130cm wide and the corridor is 140cm wide. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift, a slight ramp/slope and manual doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 90cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 107cm x 115cm.
- The flooring on the route is not shiny or patterned.
Room (125)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 77cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 63cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 23cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (125)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 68cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 78cm.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
