Getting to the Room (22)
- The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
- Head to the right of reception, go down the ramp on the right.
Turn left at the bottom of the ramp, through the main bar and turn left after the seating area.
Take another left through the single door behind the bar area. The rooms with adaptations for disabled people are just inside the corridor on the right. - The most accessible route to the room has a steep ramp/slope and a manual door.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (22)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 55cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 5cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 78cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 267cm .
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
