Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1309)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the lobby area, take the lift to the third floor. Leaving the lift, turn left and go through a set of double fire doors. These doors are 120cm wide.
Room number 1309 is further along the corridor on the left hand side. The corridor width is 142cm. - The most accessible route to the room has manual doors, step-free level access and a standard lift.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 90cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 130cm x 146cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
- The double doors in the corridor are kept closed. They are 128cm wide when both doors are open.
Room (1309)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 86cm wide.
- The bed type is single and double.
- The top of the mattress is 57cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 6cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (1309)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 88cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a diagonal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
