Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1228)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- Take the corridor on the left hand side of the reception desk.
Proceed along this corridor, using the platform lift to overcome the level change.
Continue straight ahead, through the double doors and turn right into the bedroom corridor.
The room will be on your right. - The most accessible route to the room has a platform lift and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 80cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 80cm x 100cm.
- Some flooring on the route is patterned.
Room (1228)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 2 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 90cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 23cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- There is a balcony on the room. The door opens manually by sliding and has a width of 102cm. There is a small threshold ramp to access the balcony.
Ensuite (1228)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 90cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail for the toilet.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail for the toilet, horizontal grab rails at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
