Access Guide
Getting to the Room (101)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Exit reception via the main entrance and head down the ramp at the front of the building.
Take a left and continue on the pathway then take another left.
Veer right up a slight ramp and room 101 is the first room on the right hand side. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, slight ramps/slopes, a steep ramp/slope and manual doors.
Room (101)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There is 1 room of this type in the resort.
- There is step-free access into the room, via a ramp.
- The ramp is slight, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 65cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 15cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (101)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 90cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as the wash basin obstructs it.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
- There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
