Access Guide
Getting to the Room (832)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the main entrance and go down the ramp. Take a left follow pathway to Block 8.
Enter the building via ramp and the manual door and take a left.
Proceed into the room corridor then take a right into the second room corridor. The door to room 832 is on the left hand side. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a slight ramp/slope and a manual door.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
- The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.
Room (832)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 7 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 90cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 45cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 10cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (832)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 82cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 85cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
