Getting to the Room (832)

The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
Exit the reception lobby via the main entrance and go down the ramp. Take a left follow pathway to Block 8.
Enter the building via ramp and the manual door and take a left.
Proceed into the room corridor then take a right into the second room corridor. The door to room 832 is on the left hand side.
The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a slight ramp/slope and a manual door.
The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.

This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 7 rooms of this type in the resort.
All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
There is step-free level access into the room.
The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
The room door opening is 90cm wide.
The bed type is double.
The top of the mattress is 45cm from the floor.
The space under the bed is 10cm high.
There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
The room does have an emergency alarm.
There is hard flooring.

The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 82cm.
There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
There is hard flooring.
The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 85cm.
Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
