Getting to the Room (402)

  • The average walking time to the room is 8 minutes.
  • Take one of the lifts to the left of the reception desk and select floor "0".
    When exiting the lift, turn left and proceed through the automatic doors (164cm wide).
    Head down the ramp (143cm wide), along the pathway then veer left.
    Proceed up the ramp on the right (147cm wide). At the top of ramp veer right past the main buffet restaurant then down another ramp (151cm wide) leading to the shops.
    Take a left past the shops into the room corridor and the door to room number 402 is on the left hand side.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift, slight ramps/slopes, steep ramps/slopes and automatic doors.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • The width of the lift door opening is 80cm.
  • The internal dimensions for the lift are 110cm x 160cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny.
  • There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope and steps.
  • The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.

Room (402)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 2 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 99cm wide.
  • The bed type is twin.
  • The top of the mattress is 62cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 9cm high.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The width of the balcony door is 133cm.

Ensuite (402 - Left Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 95cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 155cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a vertical rail on the right side of the wash basin, a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
  • There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is a flip-down seat in the shower.
