Access Guide
Getting to (The Library - Afternoon Tea, Coffee and Cake)
- The library is located at the rear of the reception lobby.
- The most accessible route has step-free level access.
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is within the main building, next to the restaurant, please click here for more information (new tab).
Café
- There is step-free level access into the café area.
- The café has a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Food served includes: desserts.
- The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
- Guests with food allergies can bring their own food.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is no (or very little) background noise.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm) .
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- Lighting levels are good in this area.
Seating
- There is step-free level access into the seating area.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: bench seats, chairs with armrests and armchairs.
- Some of the tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring outside is hard.
- There is no (or very little) background noise.
- Lighting levels are good in this seating area.
