Access Guide
Getting to the Room (4007)
- The average walking time to the room is 8 minutes.
- Exit the reception building through doors to the right of the reception desk.
Continue straight along the path.
Turn left at the end of the path and enter Building 4 through the manual double doors.
Proceed along the corridor to the left, following it round to the right and then to the left.
The room numbers are clearly marked along this corridor. - The most accessible route to the room has slight ramps/slopes and manual doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- The flooring on the route is not shiny or patterned.
Room (4007)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 53cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 24cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (4007 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens both ways and has an opening width of 80cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 120cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, horizontal grab rails at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
