Access Guide
Getting to the Room (3114)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Exit the reception area via the rear doors with the step at the threshold (a portable ramp is available on request) The doors are 122cm wide and the height of the step is 9cm.
Proceed straight ahead on the level pathway and though the open doorway into building A1. There is a slight ramp to access the building.
Continue ahead into room corridor, the door to room number 3114 is on the right. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a slight ramp/slope, a steep ramp/slope and an open entrance with no doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
Room (3114)
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 88cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 53cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 13cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 85cm.
Ensuite (3114)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 68cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There are two separate ensuite rooms, one for the toilet and one for the step-free shower and bath. The wash basin is outside both rooms.
The width of the doorway into the shower is 66cm. Once inside the shower, the floor measurements are 94cm X 180cm.
