Getting to (Blue Spa)

  • The Blue Spa is located on the sixth floor of the resort. You can use both lifts to access it, but the right wing lifts give access to the entrance with the stair lift.
  • The most accessible route has steps, a stair lift and a lift.

Entrance (Blue Spa)

Lift (Stair Lift)

  • The lift is located on the sixth floor to the left as you exit the right wing lift.
  • This lift is a stair lift (staff assistance required).
  • Externally the lift has: buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm) and tactile markings.
  • The lift does not have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
  • The lift door opening width is 85cm.
  • The dimensions of the lift are 85cm x 78cm.
  • Lighting levels are low in this lift.

Gym (BLUEfit)

  • There is step-free level access into the gym.
  • The door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast.
  • The width of the door opening is 78cm.
  • The gym is not staffed.
  • There is no emergency alarm.
  • There is not clear manoeuvring space between equipment (150cm x 150cm).
  • Equipment includes upper body machines where fixed seats can be removed and free weights.
  • The gym has coffee tables.
  • There is no (or very little) background noise.
  • The gym does not have a hearing assistance system.

Toilet (Male and Female)

  • The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 79cm.
  • The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
  • The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
  • Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Transfer Both Sides)

  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
  • The toilet door is manual, opens by sliding and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 74cm.
  • The toilet door has a twist lock.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 203cm x 230cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
  • There are lateral transfer spaces on both sides of the toilet but the right side, as you look at it, is obstructed.
  • The lateral transfer space on the left is 83cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
  • The lateral transfer space on the right is 82cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
  • There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
  • There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the seat.
  • The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: a toilet roll holder on the dropdown rail and towel dispenser.
  • The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin and the soap dispenser.
  • The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the toilet seat (48cm), the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm) and towel dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
  • The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm) and the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm).
  • The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
  • The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door and both dropdown rails.
  • The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the toilet seat and the floor.
  • There is no emergency alarm.
  • The toilet has a mirror.
  • There is no shelf in the toilet.
  • The cubicle has a waste bin with lid and a sanitary bin.

Treatment Room (Turkish Bath)

  • Some flooring is shiny.
  • There are chairs without armrests available in the room.
  • There is not a hearing assistance system in the room.
  • There is no (or very little) background noise.
  • Lighting levels are low in this area.
  • There are 4 Turkish bath chairs in the room. There are 2 shower cubicles in the room which have a door width of 59cm. The shower heads are lowered and hand held.

Sauna

  • This sauna is located within the Turkish Bath room.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast.
  • The width of the door opening is 77cm.
  • There is not room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).

Steam Room

  • This steam room is located within the Turkish Bath room.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast.
  • The width of the door opening is 77cm.
  • There is not room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).

Entrance (Indoor Pool)

  • The entrance to the swimming pool is located within the Blue Spa area.
  • There is step-free level access at the entrance to the swimming pool.
  • There is a manual door at the entrance, which open away from you.
  • The width of the door opening is 87cm.
  • The door has a low colour contrast.

Swimming Pool (Indoor Pool)

  • This is an indoor relaxation pool.
  • There is a ladder to get into the water.
  • Access into the water is via a ladder.
  • There are 5 steps with a handrail on the left going down.
  • There is step-free level access around the whole pool.
  • The following adaptations are available for disabled people: hydraulic hoist.
  • The pool is not staffed and does not have a lifeguard.
  • Seating around the pool includes: chairs with armrests.
  • Additional facilities include: a jacuzzi and poolside showers.
  • The flooring is hard.
  • There is step-free level access to the poolside showers.
