Access Guide
Getting to (The Buffet Restaurant)
- The Buffet Restaurant is located on the second floor of the resort building, to the left as you exit the right wing lifts.
- The most accessible route has a lift and step-free level access.

Entrance (The Buffet Restaurant)
- The entrance to the restaurant is located along the second floor left wing corridor, to the right of the stairs.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance to the restaurant.
- There are manual doors at the entrance, which are permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 172cm.
- The doors have a high colour contrast.
Restaurant (The Buffet Restaurant)
- The restaurant has a bar where drinks can be ordered, staff who can provide assistance and buffet counters.
- Food served includes: buffet food.
- The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
- Guests with food allergies can bring their own food.
- The following are available: a portable card machine for payment and room charge.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is background noise.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm) .
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is shiny.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The heights of the counters are between 90cm-92cm.
Seating (The Buffet Restaurant)
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: chairs without armrests and bench seats.
- The tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction) .
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is shiny.

Toilet (Male and Female)
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 79cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Transfer Both Sides)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens by sliding and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 80cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 218cm x 204cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There are lateral transfer spaces on both sides of the toilet but the right side, as you look at it, is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space on the left is 87cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- The lateral transfer space on the right is 79cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the seat.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: a toilet roll holder on the dropdown rail.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin, the soap dispenser and towel dispenser.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the toilet seat (48cm), the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm) and towel dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm) and the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm).
