Access Guide
Getting to (The Pool Bar)
- The Pool Bar is located on the lower ground floor of the resort, opposite the beach and to the left of the outdoor pool.
- The most accessible route has a steep ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps), steps, a slight ramp/slope and a manual door.

- There is stepped access from the outdoor pool to The Pool Bar. The most accessible route to The Pool Bar is via the main entrance foyer, down a steep ramp and through the Culinarium entrance.
Entrance (The Pool Bar)
- The entrance to the bar is located to the left of the swimming pool at the bottom of the steps.
- There is no step-free access at the entrance to the bar.
- There are 8 steps, which are unmarked, with a handrail on the right going up.
- There is a manual door at the entrance, which is permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 120cm.
- The door has a high colour contrast.
- There is a 5cm step in the doorway. There are multiple doors to enter The Pool Bar. The most accessible entrance to avoid the steps is through The Culinarium.
Bar (The Pool Bar)
- The bar serves food and drink and has full table service.
- Menus are handheld.
- Food served includes: desserts and sandwiches and snacks.
- The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
- Guests with food allergies can bring their own food.
- The following are available: drinking straws, takeaway cups, takeaway cutlery, a portable card machine for payment and room charge.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is background noise.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm) .
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is shiny.
- Lighting levels are low in this bar.
Seating (The Pool Bar)
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: dining chairs with armrests, high stools and bench seats.
- The tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction) .
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is shiny.
- The flooring outside is hard.
- There is background noise.
- Lighting levels are low in this area.
- There is a raised area which has stepped access.
Toilet (Male and Female)
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 85cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
