Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Reception Lobby )

  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the toilet door.
  • The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 88cm.
  • The toilet door has a push button lock.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 206cm x 135cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
  • There is not a lateral transfer space next to the toilet.
  • There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
  • The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the soap dispenser and towel dispenser.
  • The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the toilet roll holder (between 80cm - 100cm) and the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
  • The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm) and towel dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm).
  • The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
  • The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door, the dropdown rail and the floor.
  • The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the toilet seat.
  • There is no emergency alarm.
  • The toilet has a mirror.
  • There is no shelf in the toilet.
  • The cubicle has a pedal bin.
  • There are no coat hooks.
