Getting to the Room (117)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Exit the reception area via the manual double doors at the rear. Turn left and proceed through the archway into the hallway.
At the end of the hallway, turn right and proceed up the steep ramp into the room corridor. The ramp is 90cm wide and has no handrails.
Continue along the room corridor to room number 117. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a steep ramp/slope and manual doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (117)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 2 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 100cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 6cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring and low pile carpet.
- The space from the left of the bed to the terrace door is 210cm.
The door to the terrace is 80cm wide.
There is a small ramp from the terrace to access the main resort terrace, which is 120cm wide.
Ensuite (117)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 89cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and vertical grab rails at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a portable shower seat.
