Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1002)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Take a left at the reception desk and head up the ramp.
At the top of the ramp turn right and proceed straight into the room corridor. The door to room number 1002 is the first on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a steep ramp/slope and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (1002)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There is 1 room of this type in the resort.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 94cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 56cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 31cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The door to the balcony is 87cm wide, however, there is insufficient space for a wheelchair to access the balcony door in a wheelchair, due to the fixed beds.
Ensuite (1002)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 90cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail for the toilet and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a flip-down seat in the shower.
