Getting to the Room (204)
- The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
- From the reception area, take a lift to level 1. Exit the lift and turn left.
Proceed through the automatic fire doors (which are 180cm wide) straight ahead into the room corridor. The door to room number 204 is on the right. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 75cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 80cm x 101cm.
Room (204)
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 79cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 26cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The space to the left of the bed measures 160cm. The width of the balcony door is 72cm.
Ensuite (204)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 66cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- Portable shower seats are available on request.
