Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1011)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the door and head down the slight ramp and past the pool area. Veer right and proceed towards the guest rooms, via a narrow walkway.
Continue straight ahead along the rooms corridor and room 1011 is the 1st door on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a slight ramp/slope, a manual door and a narrow entrance opening.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
Room (1011)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 3 rooms of this type in the resort.
- The layout and facilities in the other rooms with adaptations for disabled people vary from the one surveyed. .
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 58cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 10cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (1011)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 90cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 109cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
