Getting to the Room (604)

  • The average walking time to the room is 8 minutes.
  • Exit the reception building and turn right, heading back down the entrance ramp.
    Turn left at the bottom of the ramp and proceed straight ahead. After the entrance to the restaurant, bear right onto the path.
    Continue along the path, turning right onto another path which leads towards the accommodation entrance marked "600".
    Follow the accessible path to the right and proceed to the open sided corridor. Room 604 is on the right.
  • The most accessible route to the room has a slight ramp/slope and a steep ramp/slope.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are under 120cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny.

Room (604)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 6 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free access into the room, via a ramp.
  • The ramp is steep, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 88cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 69cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 28cm high.
  • Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.

Ensuite (604)

  • The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 88cm.
  • There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 94cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
