Access Guide
Getting to the Room (428)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- From the reception building, guests can either take a buggy or walk to the room. Follow the pathway which is opposite the reception building.
Take the first left turning and continue along the straight, sandy pathway until you reach room 428, which is on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, steps and a steep ramp/slope.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
- The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.
Room (428)
- There is not step-free access into the room.
- There are 2 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 84cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 65cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 4cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 150cm.
Ensuite (428)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 79cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is no dropdown rail.
