Getting to the Room (Route to Room 424 - Room with Adaptations for Disabled People)
- The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
- From reception, take the lift to the 4th floor.
Turn left out of the lift, through a set of double doors (which are permanently held open) and room number 424 is along the step-free level corridor on the right hand side.
The corridor is carpeted with a plain, dark carpet and is 144cm wide.
There are no handrails in the corridor. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and manual doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 90cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 90cm x 133cm.
- The flooring on the route is not shiny or patterned.
- There are also rooms with adaptations for disabled people on the first floor, which can be accessed via the lift or via a steep ramp which bypasses the lift.
The journey from reception to the first floor rooms takes approximately 1 minute.
Room (424 - Room with Adaptations for Disabled People)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 85cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 66cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 6cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is low pile carpet.
Ensuite (424 - Room with Adaptations for Disabled People - Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 87cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin, a standard bath and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 75cm .
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a towel dispenser.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a vertical grab rail at the bath.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
