Getting to the Room (83)

The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
Exit the reception lobby via the rear door and proceed down the ramps and past the pool area.
Take a right towards the apartments and go straight on. Veer left, then left again and along the pathway. The ramp and doorway to room 83 is on the lft hand side.
The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a slight ramp/slope, steep ramps/slopes and an open entrance with no doors.
The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.

This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 3 rooms of this type in the resort.
All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
There is step-free access into the room, via a ramp.
The ramp is slight, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
The room door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast.
The room door opening is 79cm wide.
The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
The top of the mattress is 54cm from the floor.
The space under the bed is 24cm high.
Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
The room does have an emergency alarm.
There is hard flooring.

The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 79cm.
There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).

The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 138cm.
