Access Guide
Resort Information
- The resort is located on a hillside in Playa de Jandia in southwest Lanzarote.
- This resort has the following facilities: rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, beach access, a swimming pool and restaurants.
- The resort has 250 rooms available. 4 of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people
- Rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, with adjoining rooms, are available.
- There are 2 restaurants.
- There is 1 swimming pool (excluding room pools).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: standard fitting rooms, step-free standard toilets and toilets with some adaptations for disabled people.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found in reception on level 3, on level 0 near the main bar and on level 2 near the gym and spa.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found in reception on level 3, on level 0 near the main bar and on level 2 near the gym and spa.
- The resort has the following available: a pool hoist.
- There is a medication fridge at the reception.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment from the resort.
- Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- In the reception area or in the guests' rooms.
- We have been told that assistance dogs are not allowed in the resort.
- This resort is not aware of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.

- The following areas have step-free access via slight ramps or slopes: Access to the terrace, pool and beach are via slight ramps.
- The following areas have step-free access via steep or very steep ramps or slopes: The final access ramp to the beach is steep.
- The following areas do not have step-free access: Access to the table tennis on the 8th floor is via a lift then steps down into the table tennis area.
- The width of the door into the "Spa & Relaxation" area is 150cm.
The width of the door into the gym is 160cm.
The width of the door into the sauna is 63cm.
Entrance
- The entrance to the resort is located off Av. de Jandia in southwest Fuerteventura.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the resort.
- The ramp is slight, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are automatic doors at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 197cm.
- There is a second set of automatic doors at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 199cm.
- The width of the ramp on the kerb is 110cm.
Reception
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- There is a reception desk at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The height of the main reception desk is 115cm.
Getting Around the Building
- This building contains bars, a main reception, restaurants and a gym.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via lift and stairs.
- On level 3 (reception) the areas which have step-free level access are the TUI desk, lobby bar, shop, the toilets with adaptations for disabled people and the standard toilets.
- On level 0 there is access via a slight ramp from the main building to the terrace and from the terrace to the pool area.
- There is a steep ramp from the promenade to the beach.
- On level 8 access to the table tennis area is via steps.
- The floors that can be accessed from the lift are 0-3, 3-11 and 0-12.
- The lift door opening width is 80cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 127cm x 162cm.
- There are 3 lifts. One lift in reception serves levels 0-3 and the other lift in reception serves levels 3-11.
There is another lift on level 0 near the main restaurant which serves levels 0-12.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Reception - Left Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 92cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 280cm x 235cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 84cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the toilet include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- Fixtures within the toilet include: a toilet roll holder, a wash basin, a hand dryer, a soap dispenser and a towel dispenser.
- The toilet has a mirror.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The cubicle has a pedal bin.
- There are no coat hooks.
Toilet
- The female toilet was surveyed.
- There is also a male toilet in the same location.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the door to the standard toilets is 79.5cm. The width of the doors to the toilet cubicles is 72cm.
