Getting to the Room (007)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • From reception, take the lift marked "levels 3-0" to level 0.
    After exiting the lift turn left and proceed through the double doors into the room corridor. These doors are permanently held open and are 135cm wide.
    Once through the double doors, proceed along the corridor to room 007 on the left.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, doors permanently held open and a standard lift.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • The width of the lift door opening is 80cm.
  • The internal dimensions for the lift are 127cm x 162cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is patterned.

Room (007)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 76cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 58cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 30cm high.
  • Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
  • The room does not have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.

Ensuite (Right Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 85cm.
  • There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 120cm .
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
  • There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a vertical grab rail at the shower.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
