Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 80cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 150cm x 140cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 63cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Fixtures within the toilet include: a toilet roll holder, a wash basin, a soap dispenser and a towel dispenser.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The cubicle has a pedal bin.
- There are no coat hooks.
- The toilets with adaptations for disabled people are within the standard male and female toilets.
The transfer space to the right of the toilet is 63cm, however the space between the toilet and the wash basin to access the transfer space is 52cm.
The space to the left of the toilet is 61cm.
