Getting to the Room (4002)

  • The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
  • Exit reception via the accessible door and descend the ramp.
    The buggies will transport you down the steep driveway to the accommodation block, where the buggy will stop right outside the room door.
    There is a further steep ramp immediately before the room door.
  • The most accessible route to the room has steep ramps/slopes and a very steep ramp/slope.
  • There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.

Room (4002)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 102cm wide.
  • The bed type is double.
  • The top of the mattress is 67cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 21cm high.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.

Ensuite (4002)

  • The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 100cm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail for the toilet, horizontal grab rails at the shower and a diagonal grab rail at the shower.
  • There is a flip-down seat in the shower.
