Access Guide
Getting to the Room (6002)
- The average walking time to the room is 4 minutes.
- Exit the reception area via the rear automatic doors, which are 170cm wide.
Proceed down the two ramps straight ahead then turn left.
Turn right then left, taking several ramps of varying degrees until you reach the accommodation block.
Enter the manual door to the accommodation block and room 6002 is straight ahead at the end of the short corridor. - The most accessible route to the room has slight ramps/slopes, steep ramps/slopes, automatic doors and a manual door.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- There are club carts available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
- The club carts can be transferred into from a wheelchair.
- There are several ramps of varying degrees on the route to the rooms with adaptations for disabled people. Directions are available from reception, alternatively guests can take a club cart.
Room (6002)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 3 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 86cm wide.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 8cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The space to the right of the bed is 80cm.
The door to the balcony is 140cm.
The space to the left of the bed is 100cm.
Ensuite (6002)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 90cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 100cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
