Getting to the Room (026)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • Exit the reception lobby via the double doors and take a left up the slight ramp.
    Proceed through the manual door into Block B and the door to room 026 is the first door on the right hand side.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a slight ramp/slope and a door permanently held open.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny.

Room (026)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 7 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • The layout and facilities in the other rooms with adaptations for disabled people vary from the one surveyed. .
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 90cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 64cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 9cm high.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The width of the balcony door is 108cm. There is a 5cm high step at the threshold of the patio door.

Ensuite (026 - Right Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 100cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin, a standard bath and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 70cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
  • There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
  • The width of the shower doors is 157cm. There is a flip-down seat in the shower.
