Access Guide
Getting to the Room (3021)
- The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
- Turn left at the reception desk and take a lift to level 3.
After exiting the lift, turn either left or right to access the rear of the lifts, then head directly into the room corridor. The door to room number 3021 is straight ahead. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a standard lift.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 80cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 120cm x 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is patterned.
Room (3021)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 105cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 30cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 128cm.
Ensuite (3021 - Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 104cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 132cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
