Access Guide
Getting to the Room (30)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Take a left at the reception desk and proceed down the room corridor. Continue through the fire doors to near the end - room number 30 is on the right.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, an open entrance with no doors and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (30)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 64cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 13cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (30 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 74cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 162cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
