Access Guide
Getting to (Magico Restaurant)
- The Magico Restaurant is located at the centre of the resort, next to the Wunderbar and the activity pool.
- The most accessible route has step-free level access, a steep ramp/slope and an automatic door.
Entrance
- The entrance to the restaurant is located at the front of the buillding.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the restaurant.
- The ramp is steep, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are automatic doors at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 129cm.
- The doors have a high colour contrast.
Restaurant
- The restaurant has buffet counters.
- Menus are displayed on the counter.
- Food served includes: varies daily.
- The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
- The following are available: drinking straws.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is background noise.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm).
- The flooring inside is hard.
- Some flooring is shiny.
- Lighting levels are good in this area.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
Seating
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: chairs without armrests.
- Some of the tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).
- The flooring inside is hard.
- Some flooring is patterned.
- The flooring outside is hard.
- There is background noise.
- Lighting levels are good in this seating area.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Magico Restaurant)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 98cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 200cm x 200cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it, but it is obstructed.
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- The following grab rails are available: a vertical grab rail on the non-transfer side.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin, the soap dispenser, towel dispenser and hand dryer.
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm), the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm), the soap dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm), towel dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm) and hand dryer (not between 80cm - 100cm).
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the floor and the internal toilet door.
