Access Guide
Getting to (The Flavour Restaurant)
- The Flavour Restaurant is located in the courtyard area, next to the Wunderbar.
- The most accessible route has steps and a door permanently held open.
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is next to the Wunderbar, within the male toilets, please click here for more information (new tab).
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is next to the Wunderbar, within the female toilets, please click here for more information (new tab).
Entrance
- The entrance to the restaurant is located between the Wunderbar and coffee house.
- There is no step-free access at the entrance to the restaurant.
- There are 10+ steps, which are clearly marked, with a handrail on the right going up.
- There is a manual door at the entrance, which is permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 95cm.
- The door has a low colour contrast.
Restaurant
- The restaurant has full table service.
- Menus are handheld and menu boards.
- Food served includes: varies daily.
- The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
- The following are available: drinking straws and takeaway cups.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is no (or very little) background noise.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm).
- The flooring inside is hard.
- Some flooring is shiny.
- Lighting levels are good in this area.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
Seating
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is some space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: dining chairs with armrests.
- The tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction) .
- The flooring inside is hard.
- Some flooring is shiny.
- There is no (or very little) background noise.
- Lighting levels are good in this seating area.
Toilet
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 66cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is sensor.
