Access Guide
Getting to the Room (2202)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Take a lift from the reception lobby to level 2. On exiting the lift, take a right and head into the room corridor. Room 2202 is the first door on the left.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a standard lift.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 100cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 135cm x 158cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (2202 - Family Room)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 6 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 95cm wide.
- The bed type is double and twin.
- The top of the mattress is 50cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 5cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 140cm.
Ensuite (2202)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 95cm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 60cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a portable seat and a flip-down shower seat.
