Access Guide
Getting to the Room (10006)
- The average walking time to the room is 4 minutes.
- Exit reception via the rear exit doors and continue down the ramp. Turn right and proceed along the level pathway and down another ramp.
At the bottom of the ramp, turn left and proceed along another level pathway. Veer right and continue through the archway, then turn left.
Proceed up the ramp which leads into the accommodation building and turn left into the room corridor. The door to room number 10006 is located on the right. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, slight ramps/slopes and steep ramps/slopes.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (10006)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 2 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 95cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 6cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The space to the left of the bed measures 110cm. The space to the right of the bed measures 120cm.
The width of the balcony door is 105cm.
Ensuite (10006 - Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 95cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 175cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a diagonal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- The width of the doorway into the shower cubicle is 92cm. There is a flip-down seat in the shower.
