Access Guide
Getting to the Room (3113)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Exit reception via the entrance doors and head slightly right onto the level pathway, past the showers.
At the end of the pathway, turn right.
After approximately 8 metres turn left at the yellow sign for "room 3113-3115", proceed up a slight ramp and the door to room 3113 is on the right. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a slight ramp/slope.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- The flooring on the route is not shiny or patterned.
- There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
- The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.
Room (3113)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 3 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 87cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 50cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 5cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the hallway inside the room is 87cm.
The space to the left of the bed is 107cm wide.
The width of the balcony door is 90cm.
Ensuite (3113 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 87cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 130cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a flip-down seat in the shower. Although there are no handrails in the shower, it is possible to reach the dropdown rail next the toilet from the shower seat.
