Getting to the Room (1506)

  • The average walking time to the room is 6 minutes.
  • Exit reception through the main doors and turn left.
    Proceed along the covered walkway where you can alight one of the buggies to transport you and your luggage to your room.
    Alternatively you may take the step-free pathway alongside the main building to the room. By taking the buggy, the journey takes approximately 2 minutes.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a slight ramp/slope.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
  • The flooring on the route is not shiny or patterned.
  • There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
  • The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.

Room (1506)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 96cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 7cm high.
  • Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
  • The room does not have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The width of the door to the terrace is 130cm.

Ensuite (1506)

  • The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 95cm.
  • There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin, a wheel-in shower and a shower without a step.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 120cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the non transfer side.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
