Getting to the Room (136)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Take a right at the reception desk and proceed ahead. Take a left into the room corridor. Continue through fire doors then take a right. Room 136 is the first door on right hand side.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, an open entrance with no doors and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (136)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 86cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 20cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (136 - No Transfer Space)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 80cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower with a step.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail for the toilet.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail for the toilet and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
