Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (No Transfer Space)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 95cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 150cm x 168cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is not a lateral transfer space next to the toilet.
- The lateral transfer space is 50cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Fixtures within the toilet include: a toilet roll holder.
- The toilet has a mirror.
- There is a shelf but it is located where it is not reachable for seated and standing users.
- The shelf does not meet the criteria for Stoma Friendly Toilets. For the Stoma Friendly Toilets criteria click here.
- The cubicle has a pedal bin.
- There is one coat hook.
- The wash basin, soap dispenser and hand dryer are outside the toilet cubicle.
