Getting to the Room (169)
- The average walking time to the room is 4 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the manual rear exit doors (120cm width). Turn right and proceed down the two ramps (the minimum ramp width is 150cm).
At the bottom of the second ramp, turn right and continue along the level pathway at the side of the building until you reach the signage for the room number (169).
Take a right and head up the steep ramp towards the room doors. The door to room number 169 is on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, slight ramps/slopes, steep ramps/slopes, manual doors and a very steep ramp/slope.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- The flooring on the route is not shiny or patterned.
Room (169)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 54cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 28cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 160cm.
Ensuite (169 - Transfer Both Sides)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 93cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the on both sides of the toilet with a minimum width of 110cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a 2cm lip on the shower tray.
