Access Guide
Getting to
- The entrance to the main swimming pool is to the right of the lobby.
- The most accessible route has a manual door and step-free level access.
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is near the restaurant entrance, please click here for more information (new tab).
Swimming Pool
- This is an outdoor swimming pool.
- There is step-free level access into the pool area.
- Access into the water is via steps.
- There are 6 steps with a handrail on the left going down.
- There is step-free level access around the whole pool.
- The pool has a lifeguard on duty but not at all times.
- Seating around the pool includes: sun loungers and chairs with armrests.
- Additional facilities include: a children's pool and poolside showers.
- The flooring is hard.
- There is step-free level access to the poolside showers.
Toilet (Outdoor Pool)
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is not step-free access into the toilet.
- There are 10+ steps to access the toilet. These are unmarked, with handrails on both sides.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 66cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.
- The handrails do not cover all of the steps.
There is also a shower cubicle in both the male and female toilet. The showers are accessed by a 21cm high step.
