Access Guide
Getting to the Room (11)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the reception desk, head towards the corridor on the left hand side. Continue through the double doors (permanently open) and room 11 is on the right hand side.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- The flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (11)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 2 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 68cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (11 - No Transfer Space)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 63cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as the wash basin obstructs it.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is no dropdown rail.
