Getting to (Outdoor Pool)

The Outdoor Pool is located on level 0. Access to the outdoor pool is to the left from the hotel foyer via the lounge bar.
The most accessible route has step-free level access and doors permanently held open.

The width of the gap to access the entrance to the outdoor pool area is 95cm.

This is an outdoor swimming pool.
Access into the water is via steps.
There are 8 steps with a central handrail.
There is step-free level access around some of the pool.
There is a raised area which has ramped or stepped access.
The following adaptations are available for disabled people: hydraulic hoist.
The pool has a lifeguard on duty at all times.
Seating around the pool includes: sun loungers.
Additional facilities include: poolside showers and a poolside bar.
The flooring is grass and hard.

The height of the steps are 15cm with no handrails. The ramp is slight with a handrail on the light (going up). The width of the ramp is 98cm.

The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
There is not step-free access into the toilet.
There are 10+ steps to access the toilet. These are unmarked, with a handrail on the right going down.
The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
The width of the toilet door opening is 69cm.
The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.

Access into the seating area is via a steep ramp/slope.
The ramp is over 150cm wide, with a handrail on the right going down.
There is step-free level access around the area.
There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
The seating includes: armchairs and sofas.
The tables are not suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).
The flooring outside is grass.
There is no (or very little) background noise.
Bean bags are also available as seating in this area.
