Access Guide
Getting to the Room (452)
- The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
- From the hotel foyer, turn right and take the lift to level 4. As you exit the lift, turn right and follow the corridor. The entrance to room 452 is on your right hand side.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and a manual door.
- The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (452)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is twin.
- The top of the mattress is 50cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 27cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- The following adaptations are available: a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm), light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm) and bedside plug sockets.

- The toilet seat is 45cm from the floor.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder, the wash basin and the soap dispenser.
- The taps are lever mixer.
- The ensuite does not have an emergency alarm.
- The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: all grab rails and the dropdown rail.
