Access Guide
Getting to
- The swimming pool is in the area between the Pionero and Santa Ponsa Park buildings.
- The most accessible route has steps, step-free level access and a steep ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps).
- Access from the Pionero building is level and step-free. Access from the Santa Ponsa Park building is via a steep ramp which bypasses some steps.
Swimming Pool
- This is an outdoor swimming pool.
- There is step-free level access into the pool area.
- There is a ladder to get into the water.
- There is step-free level access around the whole pool.
- The pool is staffed at all times.
- Seating around the pool includes: sun loungers and bench seats.
- Additional facilities include: poolside showers and a poolside bar.
- The flooring is hard.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Poolside - Male - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 89cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 158cm x 244cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it, but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 65cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin, the soap dispenser and hand dryer.
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm), the soap dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm) and hand dryer (not between 80cm - 100cm).
- The wash basin tap type is push.
- Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.
