Getting Help and Assistance

Virtual appointments are available via Attend Anywhere.
Interpreters can be used during these virtual appointments.
BSL interpreters are provided by Staffordshire (including for patients attending Attend Anywhere virtual appointments).
Patients can pre-book face to face interpreting by contacting the ward/department with: Patient name, Appointment date & time, Clinic name & location and Hospital number (if known).
Patients can also book directly with Staffordshire ASSIST at assist@staffordshire.gov.uk.

Getting To (Café Retreat)
- Café Retreat is/are located on the first floor.
- Access to Café Retreat is via the main entrance.
- Enter the hospital via the main entrance and proceed straight ahead to the end of the corridor and through the open double doors.
Continue down the corridor to the very end.
Turn right at the Help Desk, go through the corridor entrance and then turn left down the next corridor, by WH Smith.
Follow the corridor until you reach the lifts, located on the right.
Take a lift to the first floor.
On exiting the lift, follow the corridor to the left.
The restaurant is then located on the left side of the corridor. - There is step free access, via lift, to Café Retreat.
- Café Retreat is approximately 30m from the central corridor lifts.
- There are resting areas along the route.
- Wayfinding signage is provided.
- Dementia friendly signage is not provided.
- There is some flooring in corridors which is shiny and could cause issues with glare or look slippery to some people.
- There is some flooring in corridors which includes patterns or colours which could be confusing or look like steps or holes to some people.
