- The Biomedical Physics Building is a medium sized 3 storey building with 2 wings, linked by a sloped corridor at first floor level.
- There are 2 main staircases within the building.
- The floors are signed as: A, C corridor (ground), and B corridor (first) on the right side, and D corridor (ground), E corridor (first) and F corridor (second) on the left side.
- Parking next to the building is staff parking only, accessed by a barrier.
- There is not a toilet with adaptations available.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step free via slight slopes.
- The Biomedical Physics Building has 3 entrances. 2 provide step-free ramped access to the ground floor.
All 3 entrances are university card lock activated. - The right accessible entrance is signed, "Entrance to A, B, C Corridors & BMP Classroom C7."
- The left stepped entrance is signed, "Entrance to D, E, F Corridors & D2."
- The left accessible entrance is unsigned.
- The 2 accessible entrances give access to ground floor A and C corridors, and ground floor D corridor respectively.
- The third entrance has stepped access.
- The ground floor is split into two, with separate accessible entrances at either end of an external covered walkway.
- There is a ramped link at first floor level, but only stepped access from ground floor level. .
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the ground floor to corridors A and C to the right and corridor D to the left.
- There is a covered walkway between the two sides of the building at ground floor level, between the two accessible entrances, providing a step-free level link.
- There is a slight ramp without handrails at first floor level that links both sides of the building.
- A and C corridors are on the right side of the building at ground floor level. A corridor has restricted access.
- B corridor is on the right side of the building at first floor level.
- D corridor is on the left side of the building at ground floor level.
- E corridor is on the left side of the building at first floor level.
- F corridor is on the left side of the building at second floor level.
- Access to B, E and F corridors is by stairs only.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
- There is a canteen breakout space on the first floor only.
- There is wall mounted wayfinding signage throughout the building.
- There are manual doors to access corridors, many with university card entry only.

- The handrails extend horizontally beyond the first and last step.

- There is a key fob/card reader at a height of 127cm.
- There are double manual doors at this entrance, however one door is locked.

Entrance (Left Accessible)
- This entrance is located on the left of the covered walkway leading to ground floor corridor D and workshop D2.
- The entrance area is not clearly signed.

- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
