Access To
- KQG5 - King's Auditorium is located on the ground floor of King's Conference Centre, to the rear from the main entrance, off the James Mackay Hall. .

- The most accessible route has step-free level access and doors permanently held open.
- There is numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into KQG5 - King's Auditorium.
- There are double manual doors which open towards you.
- One of the doors was locked at the time of the survey.
- The locked door can be opened on request .
- The width of the opening is 75cm.
- The doors have a medium visual contrast.
- There are a second set of double manual doors which open towards you.
- The width of the opening is 149cm.
- The second set of doors have a medium visual contrast.
- There are two similar sets of double doors to access the balcony on the first floor, with step-free level access from the lift.
Teaching
- This is a lecture theatre.
- There is step-free level access throughout the majority of areas.
- The following areas have step-free access via ramps or slopes: the speaker's area at the front.
- The following areas have stepped access: the lower and upper rows of seating.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a clearly signed fixed hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system could not be tested at the time of the survey.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor visual contrast varies between low and high.
- Lighting levels were uneven at the time of the survey, with pools of light and shade and unshaded light sources.
- There is tiered seating with no handrails at the steps.
