Access To
- MR105 is located on the first floor of the MacRobert Building, through to the right from the main student lifts.
- View information on MacRobert Building (opens new tab) .
- The most accessible route has a lift, step-free level access and manual doors.
- There is numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into MR105.
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The door has a locked extension leaf.
- The locked extension leaf can be opened on request .
- The width of the opening is 88cm.
- The door has a medium visual contrast.
Teaching
- This is a teaching room.
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a fixed hearing assistance system which is not clearly signed.
- The hearing assistance system could not be tested at the time of the survey.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
- Lighting levels were uneven at the time of the survey, with pools of light and shade and unshaded light sources.
- Lighting levels are adjustable.
- There are no designated spaces for wheelchair users.
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.

- Standard booth doors are single, opening towards you, 60cm wide with a threshold in the doorway.
A booth to the right as you enter offers double doors which are 99cm wide with a lower threshold.
Floor space in the booths is 160x160cm with a shelf up to 61cm wide, at a height of 74cm.
